The challenge of the horizontal lines are that the lines are straight and clean. This was the second time I try to do this, the first time I used two types of painters tape one of a recognized brand (blue tape) and the other one cheap and neither worked, this time I used a brand called Frog Tape (Home Depot) and it worked perfectly. The first thing to do is measure the wall and calculate how many stripes / lines you want then divide the height of the wall between the number of lines (if your wall is 90 and you want 6 stripes then 90 / 6 = 15 would be the thickness of your lines/stripes . Then  make a little mark at each end of the wall. Once you decide the order of your lines (which color goes first) join your two marks with the tape without cutting or rubbing the tape until you make sure that the line is straight . Paste the tape inside the marks where you don't want the lines painted (see photo). After the tape is ready rub it well to stick to the wall and only then you can paint!

This wall is on Mati's room which it happens to be my Summer project and the goal is to finished before Fall and under a $100 so far minus $0 because I already had the paint from another project I will keep you post on this one!
