Una nueva tendencia en salas es que ni los sillones, ni cojines necesitan ser los mismos. Al parecer los diseniadores piensan que el que todo haga juego ya es aburrido y "out." La idea es que el cuarto coordine pero que no sea el mismo, dandole una apariencia de estilo eclectico sin perder un sentido de orden o control.

Algunas Ideas para Evitar la decoracion Matchy- Matchy:

1. Trata de que el tono de la madera en el cuarto sea diferente, si tienes un juego de mesas cambialas de lugar con otras que ya tienes en casa para dar un look menos pesado.

2. No compres un juego de sala con los 3 o 4 sillones del mismo color. Por lo general el diseniador toma un sofa/sillon grande de 3 o cuatro presonas y solo agrega 2 sillas iguales (cuando repiten el disenio) las demas sillas son diferentes.

3. No repitas los cojines. La idea es coordinar y no repetir. Introuce nuevas texturas y disenios que vayan en tonos parecidos sin que tengan que ser los mismos.

La idea es lograr un espacio en donde las cosas que se estan mostrando tienen un valor y/o fueron colectadas en un lapso de tiempo al contrario de una sola visita a la tienda de muebles.

Por lo general encuentro que los hombres más reacios a este tipo de diseño. A mi personalmente me encanta, me da más opciones ( hablando de presupuestos) y es fácil de cambiar el look cuando las cosas necesita un cambio .... pero ¿qué piensan ustedes?

A new trend in interior design is that the pieces of furniture and even the pillows doesn't  need to be the same or match anymore. Apparently designers think that  matchy-matchy is boring and "out." The idea is that the room would coordinate but not trough repetition but by adding similar tones in different textures and materials giving the space a more eclectic look without losing a sense of order or control.

Some Ideas to Avoid matchy-matchy decoration:
1. Make sure the wood in the room  is different, if you already have a set of tables change them around or replace them  with others you already have at home, to give a lighter look.

2. Do not buy a set of couches were they all look the same. Designer's rule of thumb is that only two small (chairs) pieces of furniture can be the same.
3. Do not repeat the cushions. The idea is to coordinate, not duplicate. Introduce new textures and patterns in the same or similar tones around the room.

The idea is to achieve a space where the things being shown have been collected in a period of time as opposed to a single visit to the furniture store.

I usually find guys more reluctant to this type of design. I personally love it, it gives me more options (budget wise) and it's easy to change around when things need a change.... but what do you guys think?
